Energy to Train Harder >
Training with high intensity during every workout is the key to stimulating maximum muscle growth. You’ve probably had the experience of feeling strong and full of energy for some workouts, while at other times you just feel tired and flat. The main reason for this difference is the state of your muscles and your body physiology. If your body is rested, recovered and nutritionally prepared, you will be able to train at your best. Get any of this wrong and your workout can be much less effective.
How can you best prepare for optimum intensity during every workout? There are 2 key factors you must consider:
Rest and Recovery:
Heavy weight training or intense exercise is very taxing on your body. After a heavy weights session, your trained muscle will usually need at least 48 – 96 hours to fully recover and grow back bigger and stronger. You should not directly train this body part for at least 48 hours, but preferably up to 96 hours after your last workout. For example, a heavy leg session in the gym on Monday can leave you fatigued for several days. You shouldn’t think about training legs again until the following Friday if you want maximum recovery and growth.

Nutritional Preparation
Most serious trainers understand the importance of dietary protein for helping build muscle. But If your body and muscles are nutrient depleted during training, then you simply won’t be able to train to your limits. And training to your limits is what stimulates maximum muscle growth! You can increase workout performance and intensity by ensuring you the right nutrients before you train and throughout the day.
